If you choose to return your leased Nissan, you can simply walk away with an uncomplicated lease-return process. You should schedule a vehicle inspection, determine whether repairs need to be made, and then return your Nissan to Central Houston Nissan.
When your lease is approaching its maturity date, it is important to complete the lease-end preparation to ensure a smooth and uncomplicated lease turn-in process. The first step in the lease return process is to schedule your complimentary vehicle inspection by calling 1-800-253-9026 or visiting Alliance Inspection Management. To schedule your appointment, you will need a Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and your NMAC Account Number.
The next step in the lease return process is to decide if you would like to make repairs. If excess wear or damage is discovered during the inspection, you can choose between repairing your vehicle before returning it, or returning it as is. If there is damage to your Nissan, you may want to consult your insurance agent to determine the best course of action.
Next, you should schedule an appointment at Central Houston Nissan by contacting our dealership at least 30 days before your maturity date to return, replace, or purchase your lease.
Then, you will need to complete a federal odometer/lease termination statement at the dealership. Federal and State laws require a signed disclosure of the vehicle’s mileage. This document is necessary to process the termination of your lease agreement and will serve as the receipt of the return of the vehicle.
Lastly, you will need to satisfy any lease liability fees and charges. If applicable, you will receive an end-of-lease liability statement which will detail any remaining fees or charges, including a disposition fee of up to $395.
Financing will require you to take out a loan to help pay for the cost of the vehicle. Leasing is similar to “renting” where you will pay for the depreciation and operation costs of a Nissan for two to three years.
